Part 2 - Into the shadow of the rainbow

This part, composed of large C-prints and mixed media, initially had as a subject matter "My Chemical Generation" and explored themes such as hedonism, nihilism and psychological unease, having in discotheques and raves places of research with the use of psychotropic substances. In time, my personality - very close to the idea of "superman" theorized by Nietzche - began to change. The empathy towards the people who frequented these places began to grow. If at the beginning my attitude towards them was hostile, it soon became an absolute need to understand with a desire to change my personality from introvert to extrovert, aggravated initially by a psychological disorder complicated by the use of narcotics. Formally the works are a result of intense experimental activity. After having taken photographs these have been manipulated with glue, inks, and other substances then scanned and elaborated with various computer components so as to re-elaborate the pictorial intervention as well as the photograph, so creating a very particular effect.

a - the schizophrenic journey

The works are printed in 20x30 cm. and then remanipulated with inks, oil pastels and acrylics. The 50 works (multiplePassages tecnique) which make up this part express a schizophrenic journey, a period of great psychological and emotional instability and continuous mood changes. The works have comparatively very different pictorial effects as well as different atmospheres. .ExeMpl& of "MultiplePassages tecnique".<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

b - visions

The works in large format, approx 150x? concentrate on the emotional impact of the saturated acid colours, in particular the impact of the effects brings to mind<? the technique of "pointillisme" where the close packed multi coloured saturated and "dissonant" interlacement of small circular spheres make up the subject. .ExeMpl3 of "Dissonant Pointillisme".<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
