Part 3 - Winter of the Soul

The third part is an expression of my deep depressive crisis lasting six months. The results are deforming self-portraits characterized by violent marks on plastic using various types of melancholic tinted inks.

a - Inside the Winter of the soul

One work has been done on an insulating material used in construction work - polystyrene. This work is of a lighter mark with more lacerations and burns. The atmosphere is very gloomy.

b - Blue Tears in the Eyes

6 drawing on plastic. The works are covered in cuts, incisions made with a knife which symbolize the fragility and the suffering of that period. The eyes a recurring theme throughout the cycle are totally blue to symbolize sadness.

c - Distorted anatomy of Melancholy

Is a silver coloured sculpture, expressing the discomfort felt during that period through an contortrd and suffered image of my Allegory of melancholy.
