part 4 - The smell of the Sun

from the Cradle of Sorrow to Sunshine

Installation composed of four paintings (mixed media on various materials) which express the slow change in humour which took mr from depression to hypomania. from the blue colour of the first work the picturesreach warmer tones.The eyes in the first painting have been completely cancelled out and in the succession of the works become liberated from the dark line which symbolizes the typical black and negative vision of the depressed.

Resurrection

the works represent rebirth a radical change in the state of my health, a reversal towards hypomania and a great sense of euphoria and adrenalin. All the works in "Winter of the soul" were photographed, scanned and re-elaborated on the computer. The results are C-prints of various dimensions expressing great force through the use of warm solid colours (the "dissonant pointillisme" effect is present in this part also).
